Hobby into Love.

Founded in 1995 by Jamie Smith and Stefan van Staveren, Xylem Inc. started as a hobby and a necessity for two handy college students. Building furniture to place in our dorms seemed to be the best way to have a place for the TV and stereo equipment. Soon it was coffee and end tables. After bartending for 4 years we learned the ins and outs of building bars and soon started designing and building them for local restaurants. The next logical step was to continue our studies in the kitchen. Designing and building custom kitchen cabinets is now our forte. At Xylem Incorporated, we take advantage of the unique characteristics of wood, glass, metal and stone to create truly custom furniture and cabinetry for your home or place of business.
